The Iloilo Provincial Library and Archives held their third storytelling program for the year in Dagami Proper Day Care Center, Brgy. Proper, Maasin, Iloilo, last February 18, 2025.
Forty-five young pupils gathered to enjoy the story- “Isang Araw sa Palengke”, narrated by Mr. Rey Nan Bermudo as the storyteller. After the storytelling session, enjoyable activities were prepared that not only gives entertainment to kids but also enrich their learning experiences.
“A big thank you to the school supplies given to children. It’s a big help for our learners since some of my pupils come to school even without pencil, paper or crayons. As a day care teacher, I also encourage parents who have extra or gently used school supplies to donate them,” said Teacher Alie, one of the day care teacher.
Providing school supplies is the one way the library extends it’s services to outreach programs. Teachers in Dagami Day Care Center suggested that visual aids, story books, and floor mats are the materials most needed by their pupils.
